I know I shouldn't be so relieved about having my week's worth of work-related dinners end but for f*ck's sake, I don't know if I could take driving into the District at rush hour on a daily basis. If it wasn't for that the week would have been a real blast but traffic here really puts a damper on any mood. Yes, DC does have a metro but it's not the best and hence makes driving more convenient in certain places. Yeah, I just got to go out to dinner every night because of work and I should suck it up. Don't judge. Traffic sucks.

WHAT THE F*CK HAPPENED TO MY BLOG POST!?!? I KNOW I WROTE ONE!
So, I had written a whole post on my experience at Bobby Van's and I log on tonight to find that the post was mostly gone and it reverted back so that there isn't even a Bobby Van's post. This is a recreation of my original post and hopefully I capture everything....For f*ck's sake.
I know what you're thinking. Why in the world would you need a whole post on cooking a steak? It's simple right? You season it, you either put it in a pan and fry it or you grill it. Done and done. NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND! Over the years, I've grown to love steak but are loathe to visit steakhouses as I don't think I found many that have been really tasteful. So, I've tried to find a tried and true method on how to cook a steak at home and since I've been living in apartments for most of my adult life, the method I usually use involves a stove top and oven. So, here goes!

I guess I've never bought into the great American steakhouse obsession. The only two steakhouses that have truly blown me away were the Peter Luger Steak House in Brooklyn and The Strip House in the West Village. Part of the reason is that most steakhouses don't offer very much variety and I've always enjoyed preparing steak at home and due to home field bias, I think my steaks tend to taste better also. But, it's always good to have a steak restaurant in your back pocket in case you have friends who share the great American obsession. Ray's the Steaks is always talked about and the reviews looked great so how could you possibly miss?
